Developer API

Create API keys, authenticate requests, and choose the API guide for your use case.

API Overview

Use the Querygen API to send WhatsApp messages, discover available conversations, and export captured message history. All examples below are complete requests that can be copied and adapted.

Choose a focused guide for profiles and events, WhatsApp Business, connected WhatsApp, destinations, or message exports.

Create an API Key

Open Settings > API Keys, click Create Key, enter a Key Name, and click Create Key again. Querygen then shows an API Key Created dialog with the full key.

Copy the key from that dialog before closing it. For security, Querygen will not show the full value again; after creation, the settings page shows only the prefix for identification and revocation.

API keys with Own scope are limited to your keys; All scope lets you review workspace keys. Creating or revoking keys requires API keys Write access. Requests to app features made with a key follow its owner’s current feature permissions.

Authenticate Requests

Send the key in the Authorization header. The examples use Bearer; Basic is also accepted. Organization-scoped keys can infer the organization; for an unscoped key, include the organization ID from the Querygen URL in X-Organization-Id.

Complete authenticated request
curl -X GET "https://app.querygen.ai/api/v1/conversations?type=dm" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer qg_xxxxxxxxxxxxx" \
  -H "X-Organization-Id: <organization-id>"
