Note: Use an approved template to start a conversation. After a customer messages your business, you can send non-template messages for the next 24 hours. The WhatsApp endpoint below does not send through the WhatsApp Business Platform.

Send an approved template

The same Querygen API key works here. Both Bearer and Basic authorization schemes are accepted. Include senderPhone when your organization has more than one connected Business Platform number.

A successful request returns 201 Created when the message is accepted for delivery, along with the API campaign ID that tracks sends from this number. Reusing an Idempotency-Key with the same body avoids duplicate sends or campaign counts. Delivery status is recorded in the API campaign and can also be sent to an optional status webhook.

Note: People with Integrations Write access can configure the callback URL and authentication headers in Settings > Integrations > Delivery status webhook.
