Work

Turn message follow-ups into trackable work with owners, due dates, and reminders.

Tasks

Tasks turns follow-ups into a shared board with owners, due dates, reminders, and a visible status. It is useful when a customer request or team assignment needs action beyond the chat itself.

Set Up Task Tracking

Note: Someone with workspace-wide Tasks Write access must create and enable the shared Task Tracker. Teammates can then work on tasks according to their permissions.

Open the ⋯ menu on the Tasks page and select Set up task capture. Choose which messages should become tasks and how message replies can update them, then enable the tracker. Workspace-wide Tasks Write access is required for this setup; after that, the team can work from the shared board. You can also create a task manually if your role has Tasks Write access.

Working With Tasks

Use the board lanes to see work by status. Drag cards between lanes, or open a card to change its stage, priority, labels, internal or external assignee, title, description, due date, or reminder. Filter the board by owner or lane to focus on your work, and mark a task done when it is complete. Completed tasks can be reopened if more work is needed.

Task Details

Each task keeps its updates and status history in one place. Add an update when the work changes, assign the next owner, and set a reminder so a follow-up is not missed. Use the linked conversation context when you need to return to the message that prompted the task.

AI Suggestions

When the tracker identifies a likely next lane, the suggested task appears in that target lane. Review the suggestion and accept it to move the task, or dismiss it to keep the current status. This keeps people in control of the workflow while surfacing likely progress.
