Channels & Integrations

Connect the places where customers contact you. Each channel has its own status and controls so one connection can be changed without affecting the others. For Google Sheets, Supabase, and webhooks, see Integrations.

Connect a Channel

Use Connect a channel to choose the messaging channel you want to add. The channel-specific pages show connection status and the available setup, refresh, and disconnect actions. Disconnecting a channel stops new activity from that connection; review the confirmation shown in the app before proceeding.

WhatsApp Cloud

WhatsApp Cloud is the connection for linking the WhatsApp app your team already uses. The page shows the connected number and connection status, and provides the available link, refresh, reconnect, and disconnect controls. Follow the on-screen QR-code or phone-code instructions when linking a number.

WhatsApp Business

Connect and manage official Meta WhatsApp Business numbers, refresh connection details, open WhatsApp Manager, and manage approved message templates. WebEngage Private WSP is an optional advanced integration on this page and is collapsed by default.

If the number you connect is already on the WhatsApp Business app, Meta offers to keep it there. You can then reply from the app on your phone and from Querygen on the same number. Querygen brings in your app contacts and up to six months of past chats, and messages you send from the phone appear in the conversation as your replies without starting any automations. Meta lets you share your past chats only within 24 hours of connecting. To stop, disconnect from the WhatsApp Business app under Settings > Account > Business Platform; Querygen then marks the number as disconnected.

Each number also has WhatsApp calling settings. See Calls.

For the complete WebEngage setup, request modes, and status reporting behavior, see WebEngage Private WSP.

Customer opt-outs

When a customer sends STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE as a message by itself, Querygen marks that WhatsApp Business recipient as opted out. The Inbox replaces the message composer with an Opted out notice and blocks manual replies, campaigns, welcome messages, and API sends to that recipient. The AI Agent can still respond to inbound messages.

A customer can opt back in by sending START as a message by itself. People with Inbox Write access can also select Opt back in from the Inbox notice after confirming the customer should receive outgoing messages again.

Note: Opt-out handling applies to numbers connected through the official WhatsApp Business Platform. The status appears in the Inbox composer, not in the contact’s profile attributes.

Instagram

Connect an Instagram professional account to receive and reply to direct messages in Querygen. The page shows the connected account and any action needed to restore access. Disconnect only when you want Instagram messages and automations to stop using that account.

Website Chat

Website Widget settings controls the embedded chat’s welcome text, launcher, colors, placement, and allowed website addresses, with a live preview. Web Agent settings connects the widget to an active Full Agent and lets you preview the customer experience. Follow the Web Agent section of this guide for installation and customization examples.

Conversation link

Add the base address of another application when your team needs to open the matching customer or conversation there. Querygen shows a preview and adds the current conversation ID to the saved address. After saving, use Open external conversation from a conversation menu. Removing the address hides that action without changing conversation data.
